Outstanding as a invasion movie this was in the same style as cloverfields but a lot better more action and more than one hero 8/10 an i think if it had some tough guy actors in it this movie would have been a real hard hitting movie but as is it was good
great effects, many of these invasion movie, like the 50`s with the reds under the bed fear are inspired by the public wanting to see the real enemy getting its ass kicked, but creating it as fantasy allows you to enjoy the devastation and death without guilt as to what it really is about.
cheesy heroics and traditional plot does not falter that its an entertaining film, with a feel good ending of all american pride, sad that in these times however, since in the real world other countries such as Britain who are fighting and loosing lives in real life couldn't also be seen contributing in the fantasy feel good too, but that's Hollywood!!!!
This was an epic movie! Even my 7 yr old son loves it! Great powerful performances from the actors and the staff saergant dude....well...John Mclane doesn't have a look in!
This is a nice movie with a simple story but with very intense fighting scenes. It is overly-dramatic sometimes, and it could get real cheesy, but I personally had no problem with this. I would love to see a follow-up to this one (like a Battle: Los Angeles 2 or a Battle: New York City or a Battle: Earth). I would also love to see the story focus a lot more into the aliens as well. A lot of demands hehe, but you get the point.
Not bad, but I expected more, guess my friend (who recommended it to me) and I don't have the same taste for movies.
Good action, above average special effects, but that's pretty much it... very single linear story line, plot is almost a sideline (reason for the invasion) and don't get me wrong but, a little to much "patriotic" for me.
well....it seems as if some one deleted my whole post...oh well that just shows that I actually had something right to say and that it was more true then ever I got my point across though America helps more people then any one and they dont take anything we are the ones that gave Iraq the equipment to drill for oil and we took nothing from them our poor brothers in arms had to babysit that crap hole of a country instead of being with their families

Yes, the British have aided the US in Iraq so you can't say that no country has helped you. I don't personally hate America at all, I just don't like that fact that you think other countries will hate you for the good that some people do. What most people need is their own country, money, house, loans and other things. I don't agree that all people need America, only that some people need support. Your president needed the British to help.
People don't need America all the time. You have no idea about British people if you say they don't do anything for anyone. Whats better that shooting with a gun? Maybe helping a country that need medical help. Whats more important than killing? Maybe saving the life of a young child who is hungry. At least half of us british people have helped poorer countries.
And we didn't need America's help to do something charitable. You can say that everyone needs the US but for the most of us we need our families and our own country so don't say we need America cause you have no idea what your really talking about.
The concept was good.. The execution was terrible! The storyline just didn't have enough meat on the bone to keep you engrossed in it.The lack of a defined back story really hurt this film. 2/5 the action was just not enough to make it a good movie

This flick had maybe a small chance to be an "okay" movie but... nope!!! It's the same ol' alien concept... the freaks attack, the military finds their weak spot, the military prevails. Woo, original idea there! Camera work was so shaky, I wondered if the camera guy had some rare muscular control problem and was so noisy throughout that I needed some silence afterward. Yet another Hollywood attempt to pick-pocket our wallets or maybe Aaron Eckhart's standards for accepting what he thinks make for memorable character roles are the same as Nick Cage's lately!!! 5/10
There are alien invasion movies, and then there are those that will leave you wishing you'd gone for that root canal session instead of hitting the cineplex. (Skyline comes most readily to mind as an example of the latter.)
i hate movies like this...typical Rambo style, marines never lose and so brave and on and on and on zzzzzzzzzzz its so yankee to make movies like this, i guess they need to feel good about themselves since they are going around the world invading lands from country to country!!

This movie was alright. I hated the overuse of the usual pep speech. The director kept the lens too tight on the subjects to the point where i didn't what was going on half the time. 6/10
Loved the film. The only thing that bothers me is that it´s always the Americans that save the world, but then again, they made the film so I can´t complain. 4/5 for me!
Appreciate the free movie but gotta go to the theater to see this. It is just too good of a movie to not have perfect viewing...Great movie. Reminded me of Black Hawk Down.
For the most part I agree. The story was predictable, dull, and uneventful....there were no surprises. And the acting could have been better. The movie overall was dissappointing. See it for yourself and you decide whether or not it's worth a watch. Enjoy.
looks like the aliens wanted our stuff before we could get their stuff. 100 years ago it would take 745 hours to cross the ocean, Atlantic EU - USA...now it take 5 hours...in fifty years from today Mars will be 3 hours away and colonists will be there...but a 3 month space flight might shows us a new indigenous population to garner there resources...if a Alien race reads our lack of balance, lack of self resourcefulness and untamed greed...they would be smart to hit us before we could hit them...but that's only physical, for the movies..right? what's more current and legitimate and scary is Pychonaughts experiencing channels of mind altering telepathy from lizard types helping to stimulate / co-create humans to drive themselves extinct via mind transmitting guidance... if you can get a race to kill themselves you don't actually have to fight them physically, now do you. Of coarse we are only speaking of science fiction ?
Man I really enjoyed this movie. If you like the Military, specifically the US Marines, you are in for a treat, the plot could be some what lacking, but it def has good action, and it really does a good portray of the Marine Core (Not that Im part of it to know for sure or anything)
I in my personal opinion really liked it, and recommend it to anyone interested in war/military films with a slight Hollywood bullcrap touch. Its great tho, if it fits your profile its def worth a watch.
I give it 4.8/5 because I really respect the Marines! An unbiased rating tho would probably be 3.8/5 (still absolutely worth a watch)
im sorry but you probably made a mistake and walked into a greenpeace tree huger movie instead, and i can believe you THAT sucked, This movie in the other hand is pretty cool. I dont know what in the world you where expecting to find when you decided to watch it, but it was obviously a fantasy war movie about the US Marines.

Military movies mostly have been good, ufo invasion movies have become boring in the last few years but this surprisingly turned out to be a very good movie to watch!!! 9/10
i saw this i the cinema, and i was really surprised how much i enjoyed it!
sure, its been done before, but i felt it switched from the action sequences to the dialog sequences quite well whilst still keeping an up tempo feel to the whole thing.
An interesting re-telling of various america v 'the brown people menace' wars of recent decades leaves me content that the evil empire is at last crumbling whilst its popular culture screams 'la la la not listening'. =)
Yeah i thought it was a good movie, & I like Michelle Rodriguez, I've always thought she plays a good strong female Military type of person in a lot of her movies not to mention i think she is sexy as hell heehee! :p But i gotta say that this film kinda reminded me a little of the Game Resistance 2, cause even tho the Aliens weren't the same as the Chimera from Resistance 2 but they did use the same type of Machinery on land & air as the Chimera did in the Resistance 2 game, maybe the makers of this movie got their idea's from the Resistance 2 game maybe?..... But still a good movie, I enjoyed it :) the movie gets an 8/10 from me :)
I kinda thought the same way.. It did sorta remind me of Resistance. On the other hand tho. I can't say I thought the movie was awsome.. I walked away thinking it was just ok.. not bad, but not great either.
Movie is no biggie. Nothing special and the sound sucks. It sounds like echo's from a tin can. Quailty of picture is ok. After 40 minutes I gave up on it.Been done to death.Plot is shoot anything non human. Yeah ,no kidding. 2 out of 10
This movie has a great plot, great action scenes, great acting. In other words its 30 times better than "Skyline". It a movie to see over and over again and not get bored of it.... my rating, 10/10. Thanx uploder for this awsome movie ;)

8/10 in my opinion i found it abit boring, it might just be becouse of audio on the recording becouse i couldent hear it verry well i guess i will watch it in theatre again and see how it is there. Has alot of action scene and is verry fast pase movie it is worth a watch.
I liked it over all. I thought it was way better than skyline. The only thing i didn't care for was the girl airforce chick. It seems in most action movies now we must have a women hero in the movie and it just isnt believable. Shes throwing grenades and shooting m16s like rambo haha. So other than the woman airforce officer i liked it. on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give it a 7.8.
Lots of action and fast paced. Better then expected. Little bit like Independence Day though. Of course, the American forces save the day. Too bad no where else. But still entertaining!

But my review on this movie is I think this was a great must see movie and you all should know it was very well made and the plot is a mystery like it will get you sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time its now one of my favorites i give 10/10 just perfect better than 2012 great sci fi and war movie
