Well, I heard the book was pretty boring so I thought I'd try the movie first. It rocks pretty solid. Of course the movie won't tell it like the book does but, because of the impression the film made on me, I will look into reading it and feeling in the loopholes the actual movie didn't. A must watch, even if you're skeptical.
from the name of the film "i am number 4" i thought this was gonna be an abomination, but tbh i enjoyed it, as the story progressed so did my interest. a few continuity errors but i can ignore them.... i think. all in all it was a good watch, 7.5/10, there must be a sequal on the horizon surely... maybe they can call it "number f**king 5", id watch that!
Sick movie, good quality, froze in a few spots but didn't take away from the movie. People said it's more teen love movie...Well it did have it's parts but no more than any other Super Hero movie...ie. Spiderman series. Well acted and I will surely be looking for the second installment. 4.5/5 for me.
The making of sequels and prequels of films are pretty hard because they all depend on how much money did the first film generate, the appeal of the film, the plot, the storyline, the actors, and whether or not the actors have sex appeal, likeability, and charisma to draw audiences. I liked 'The Expendables' and the film 'A-team' both top notch films, even with the money made with these films, I doubt that a "Part II" of either film will be made. I think it boils down to the executive producers to decide whether the want to continue with their projects. The money making film franchises are prime examples of sequels.
pretty good. the only fault i realy felt was the scene with the dog in the shower bothered me
would be worth making a sequel with an obvious cliffhanger - but doesnt look like they ar going to soon ( hate cliffhangers sometimes - thats the main problem i had with covenant and vampires assistant ugh )
I"m sorry for your non-PETA moment, however. You should always know that the movies don't actually "HARM" animals. Go to the Animal Planet channel. The ones that die there...never come back. You've got to relax.
yea it was a good movie and i liked it, but i noticed something...there were no blacks? no hispanics? no asians? even the good aliens were white,and the only dark looking people were the bad aliens hmmmmmmm
I walked into this movie a skeptic and left a true believer. "I Am Number Four" is watchable as a cheesy, loud teen action film. Thankfully it's competently made and won't insult it's teen demographic (something that "Beastly" did in spades). In fact, teens are the only demographic this will appeal to. Anyone who is not between the ages of 10 to 15, will find "I Am Number Four" needlessly derivative
Duuude what a good movie. I thought i couldnt be bothered to watch this since it came out even tho it look interesting, what a big mistake! Im absolutely glad i finally watched it. Its really good! And they got material to make a sequel and more! Def worth watching!!! I voted 5 stars and I give it a 9/10!!! WATCH IT!
Way too much fluff for my taste. Just about turned into a teeny bopper love flick. I was expecting a sci-fi flick with some romance sprinkled in instead of the other way around. Having said that the ending did not disappoint. 2.5/5
Its an amazing story and a very terrific plot. Good acting, not excellent though. In my opinion, 9.5/10 to be exact and very good. A wonderful movie to watch, if you have nothing else to do. A treat for all Sci-Fi lovers though. Thanks for posting and God Bless.
wow very entertaining its not like it has some out of this world scenario but they made a good thing with what they had and I was very pleased 8.5/10 Goodness am I happy this site exists

good movie and the fight scene at the end was just oh so sexy ha. the dog was cute i want one like that nice pace through out the movie never really a slow moment and if it was they had action waiting all in all great movie can't wait for part twoooooooooo and if they aren't gonna have one well what are they thinkingggggggggggggggg

Good sci-fi action... not great... but ok. If it weren't for the action sequences and special effects - which are at least competent. I don't think I could have watched to the end. But luckily, there is plenty of action to be had in this movie. Which keeps the some-what lax story-line moving fast enough to hold an audience until the credits roll. Overall though, this movie felt a little... "B-movie" in my honest opinion. Definitely room for a second, though, along with some improvements.

look kid, noone here is ranting and raving like you imply. theres only a few comments about he bad quality of the shot and even that is hard to misunderstand as an insult toward this site, just comments about the shooter/equipment used in it. do you think its a good quality shot? i didnt think so. so get off your high horse and get real. look back a few posts and youll see i agree with you. and you should note that a few of us didnt bother watching like you suggest. you cant blame us for waiting patiently for a better quality shot especially when its a movie with CG/ and high end visuals, and making simple comments about it.
Gosh it's not another Twilight chapter. The similarities to the box office vampire-themed movie is there, but I doubt this will come anywhere near the millions the Twilight saga has raked in.

This movie was actually pretty good but wait until the Blueray comes out because I can't see crap during the night fight (which is almost every scene) in this streaming.
i got a mixture of feelings watching this, olyphant was not his usual self in this movie, as the site i usually use for movie info ( IMDB ) said "he takes a back seat in this one. i mite wait to watch this on dvd as i think cos of it's dark and shadowed quality, that spoiled it for me, worth watching, could have been a little bit more action.

It's a good movie with the ending making you expect a sequel which hopefully happens in the future sometime. v/8 - through-out A/8 - first half .. A/4 second half (goes about 4 seconds out of sync) I'm looking forward to watching it again on a better copy.
This movie isn't the best action film of the year. This movie isn't another tongue-in-cheek teen movie. Most importantly, this movie isn't a "wannabe" of the Twilight franchise. This movie is entertainment for all viewers that delivers a good story, action, and desire to want more at the end. I was lucky enough to work as an extra in this movie for about 2 weeks and was able to see how this film came together, piece by piece. The visual effects truly make the film enjoyable. Seeing it behind-the-scenes, I couldn't imagine what it would look like. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised.
The acting was believable and consistent (unlike previous reviews who claim the actors lost steam halfway thru the film). Timothy Olyphant is perhaps the best character in the film, Pettyfer following right after. The best part about this film: the love story within the plot WAS NOT painful/annoying to watch (such as Twilight).
This movie is definitely worth seeing in theaters, as the action scenes truly make the experience. I Am Number Four is a great start to what could be a fantastic franchise.
Much better then all these super hero and vampire flicks. It is worth a watch and I see a sequel too. Especially, since Hollywood has run out of ideas and is either remaking old movies and or coming out with sequel after sequel. Otherwise, this is good flick for kids and adults. It would even be worth paying for at the cinema but it's much appreciated for free!
this movie was really good, im glad i didnt pass it by like i almost did, this would be a great movie to see on the big screen, but i dont have the extra money to go, which is why i really love this site, thank you everyone involved to make these movies avalible to ppl like me that wouldnt get to see them otherwise!!
I know it was made for the 14 - 30 age group, but even me, this old 60 something, loved this movie. Just a great script, lots of action, and really good actors. I hope there will be more of #4 and the others. Worth going to the movie and paying to see on the big screen.
