Good movie. Queen Latifah is great. She's a good actress. Favorite part is the hotel scene.. makes you want to laugh and say "Ohh shiit.." haha. If only there were more parents who do that, there would be a lot less bratty, think they know it all teenagers.
dont be naive people its all a thing of the past now...its all a big ploy to con u into going to the movies...they crackin down on it...most movies that will come out here or other sites will now mostly be incomplete or uber crap quality..you see this is the man trying to con us all into paying $22.50 to see a movie..o and lets not forget its only $22.50 from 12:00pm-3:00pm after 3pm its $28.50 oh and screw it if u wanna see it in 3d at $39.00 and hollywood wonders why its crumbling
in the script, they kept using these odd metaphors, but they were of the same makeup, so when being used over and over, it felt like i was watching something along the lines of a mcdonalds commercial. you knew exactly what to expect, and it didnt make you happy
as a professional musician, and just happy artist, i found that i couldnt watch the movie after the actress queen latifah said to her daughter character that she was singing poorly by being very great, and that being less great with her skills would maker her sound better. she actually used the phrase, "i dont wanna hear you, i wanna hear god through you." absolutely ridiculous. so i turned it off a few minutes later because of that.
Great family movie in both content and cast. I was absolutely satisfied which doesn't always happen lately!!! My only complaint is that on all the host sites the last portion of the movie is missing which was quite irritating and dissappointing!!
All of the sources posted now are missing the end-- the climax of the movie (the final competition) and the movie's actual ending. If you open it, and the total run time is 94:56, then it's missing the end. You'll want to wait for a full copy to be posted.
