We thought it was great to see somewhat a sci-fi type of this kind on the chain of thoughts if animals really got intelligent by some accident. I think it was well made with the action given. It up high in how we rated this. 9.5/10 our opinion only.

if i reboot my computer i expect everything to be as it was before i rebooted it. i dont expect to have different software, settings and desktop. This movie is a complete Alien to the famous movies. It should not be asscociated with them. It has told a completely different story and has no relation to them. Who ever made this film seems not to give a toss about the real story. Yes I too was totally fascinated by the original movies. They were as famous then as the Alien movies are today.

This movie is all wrong. It's all messed up. No relation at all to the original Plant of the Apes movies and no relation to the modern one at all.
The Apes don't rise up until way way off in the distant future - AFTER the time that mankind is cruising around space in huge spaceships and visiting other planets.

Rarely in the history of cinematography does a series of films prove itself by producing yet another sequel which is as good if not better than its predecessors. The rise of the planet of the apes was such a sequel. When I first saw it advertised, I was convinced that it would not do justice. I was wrong. It has proved beyond a doubt that there is still a lot to be said for intelligent science fiction. I am only afraid that any new sequel will not be able to stand up to the quality of the four "Ape" films. Let sleeping apes lie, say I.
I thought this movie was going be lame. I'm glad I watched it, cause now it is one of my fave's! Some part's really ticked me off....but all in all, watch this!

I loved this movie. I have seen all the others ones growing up and this one was awesome.
When it comes to watching movies in general it depends on the person's opinion. Movies that people have hated I loved so if you think its a good movie then watch it.
if they make a two i think that scar face looking ape will betray ceaser and take control of the apes and go to war. i mean ceaser hatred for humans wasn't that big as to try kill them all! he only wanted to be free.

This film, although leads one to believe it's part of the old Planet Of The Apes series, stands on it's own as a new vision of the POA story. Redefined and not retold, this story is obviously the beginning of how the Apes changed. I am very excited to see if they continue this story with the same type of writing and directing that went into this movie. The CGI apes were fantastic!
I was also endeared by the main Ape character, Caesar, and his relationship with the human. Even as he evolved he did not harbor resentment toward the people who raised him.
Before I give too much away I just will end with this...A Must See!
in my opinion i think this movie was an exclusice remake and i just wish there was a trilogy. so u mean ceaser could talk all that time but played dump, the last scene smashed it..i cant help but watch this movie every chance i have..10/10
nah ceaser wasnt exposed to any of the cure except for when he gave the other chimps the dose of it. he was born with it an was getting smarter everyday. it was a killer movie 10/10 for me as well
I don't think Ceaser could talk the whole time but has he grew older and got exposed to even more to the antidote that made the Chimps intelligent, that's when he was able to start talking... I think?? xoxo
This is by far the best movie I've seen this year, The story was great the sound was great, an for a bootleg,someone gave a 5 star copy. Finding out how the humans went from the majority to the minority on this planet explained alot. I'm hopeing for a part 2, this is how a 5 star movie should be.....THANKS TO THE Z-MOVIE FAMILY MUCH RESPECT...PEACE
I gotta say i really enjoyed every minute of this movie, the picture & sound quality was spot on, not to mention the movie itself was amazing the special & sound effects were damn good, & the story line & plot was well thought out i thought,
but my fav thing of all about the movie is that it shows 110% of all Human's Ignorance & Arrogance thinking we can just do what we want with animals & other wildlife across the planet,
and if we are to remain the dominant species of this world then we need to stop being so ignorant & arrogant, cause its our ignorance & arrogance that will eventually wipe us all out & get us all killed!
And this Movie really puts that message across to us all, and for those that do see that message after watching this movie but choose to ignore it?..... then all i can say is that you are the most ignorant & arrogant of all, and mark my words!.... it will come back on you all 10 fold.

Very good,a vast improvement on the previous attempt. The make-up/special effects in this are superb,the best yet. The action scenes are excellent,all in all a very satisfying watch,4/5

What an eye-opener kind of film! You don't really see films like this that represents the animals perspective. It really makes you think! What great film overall, watched in the big screen and it just made it even more spectacular. Its a must watch film so I give it a 10/10!

This was a great movie to watch, it made me tear up on parts but all and all great action - could of been a little more human killing but i cant complain
style and spectacle of the movie was quite good, will look great on the big screen. overall though disappointing, script was week, a bit of miscasting in the leads, Brian cox was good. No real link to the superior POTA with Chuck Heston.Is it me or was the acting just better in the old ones, today is a bit over reliance on the special effects and how it looks. Definite sequel territory.
James Franco just gave me yet another reason as to why I luv him. This movie was absolutely stunning. The story the lines the action the emotion-it was all there. Great watch 5/5 (and I am a tough grader)

I wish apes would take over then i wouldnt have to read theses stupid comments anymore. Every time i try to get someones review about the movie, its always someone complaining about the quality and then some one telling them to go pay full price. My favorite movie when i was a kid was the first "Planet of the Apes "1968 with Charlton Heston. I was then hooked watching the other movies till 1973 then the TV series , i enjoyed the "Planet of the Apes (2001)" and this one did not disappoint - brilliant movie

When I was a kid, my dad took me to the drive in to watch the planet of the apes movies, they were really amazing then. I just got out of the the theater and I watched this movie. It moves ya, It makes you feel for the apes, and understand what they are going through, and why they do what they do. This movie is classic, its as good as the original theme, but with so much more character. thank you for posting :)
